Hello all!
I’m a 16 year old living in the uk and I love pigeons!
I rescued one who was hit by a van, he made a full recovery and is now (hopefully) living freely. I wanted to know, is there any way I can help to rescue local pigeons?

Hi everyone! Here is my story-
My name is Maddie. I started a small business and a not offical non profit called Pigeon Patroll ( I still spell Patroll with 2 L’s), to help birds when I was 8 years old. I started Pigeon Patroll at my old home in Layton, Utah in 2020.

The eggs hatched and I named the two baby pigeons Cuckoo and Coco Puff. Everyday I would sit in front of the glass door and watch the pigeons for hours. I wrote everything I learned from them in a journal. Watching Cuckoo and Coco Puff…

Wow! What an amazing story in the news and that's how I find myself here. As a child I was freaked out by pigeons and it was amazing to me that they are now my favourite bird. They way they problem solve, their funny walk, their little heads bobbing back and forth, love 'em!
Over the years we've had a few pigeons who've fallen down our chimney (it's now capped!) and I was amazed that I could get over my fear and rescue them. Some were fine, one or two needed extra care and time, one didn't make it....
My favourite definitely was the crazy one who made it all the way down and started flying around my living room!
My saddest moment was seeing a juvenile pigeon in distress in the garden, after some love and care the poor thing still passed away but at least he was cared…
